MRA Success – Important improvements affecting Hampton Court Station
South West Trains (SWT) have agreed to introduce the extension of the half hourly trains between Hampton Court and Waterloo up until the end of service between Monday and Saturday. The MRA (Cllr Mike Axton) has been pressing for this for a while, and have raised it at a number of meetings with SWT representatives, most recently earlier this year, and they said they would include my request in their discussions with the Department of Transport.
SWT are also introducing 12 coach trains to and from Hampton Court at peak times, this will help reduce congestion on these trains, where many people currently cannot get a seat.
The bad news is that these changes are to be brought in over the next 18 months.
