East Molesey by-election

Following the resignation of former Councillor Peter Pope on 14 August 2023 and a subsequent letter being received to fill the vacancy, a by-election will take place in the Molesey East Ward on Thursday 2 November 2023.

The Notice of Election will be published on 25 September with nomination papers accepted from 26 September. Deadline for registration is midnight 17 October, with deadline for postal vote applications being 5pm 18 October. Postal votes are due to be despatched from the printer around 23 October and there will be two postal vote opening sessions on polling day, at 2 pm and after the close of poll at 10pm. The count will take place on the evening of 2 November in the reception area at the Civic Centre starting at 10pm.
