Central Avenue Post Office

We have been given an update on the Central Avenue Post Office and it is not good news.

As residents will know, the Post Office closed last year as the postmaster resigned and withdrew the premises for Post Office use. Unfortunately the Post Office has been unable to identify a suitable solution has advised us that as there have been no suitable opportunities to re-establish a service, the branch will remain closed. They say that they would consider any appropriate options if there are any significant changes in the area in the future, but that due to the length of time the branch has been closed, they would need to be satisfied that any new opportunity would be sustainable for both Post Office Ltd and the
operator.
